Valderrobres and its region are an ideal destination for travelers seeking a blend of nature, history, and culture. This historic town is located in the province of Teruel, in Aragon, in the northeast of Spain.

Valderrobres is situated on the right bank of the Matarraña River and is dominated by its impressive medieval castle, which offers stunning views of the town and its surroundings. The old town of Valderrobres is a maze of cobbled streets, stone houses, and lively squares, where visitors can enjoy local cuisine in the many bars and restaurants.

Surrounding Valderrobres, there are many natural attractions, including the Tortosa-Beseit Natural Park, which is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, as well as numerous hiking and mountain biking trails. The surrounding mountains also offer excellent opportunities for climbing and mountaineering.

In addition, the region is full of historical and cultural sites, such as the Iberian village of El Cabo, which offers visitors an authentic recreation of a full-scale Iberian village, with around 40 houses, a fortified enclosure with its defensive towers, and two large spaces that, in the past, may have belonged to the village's main family.

The Monastery of Our Lady of the Olive is also a must-see attraction in the area, located about 4 kilometers from the town of Estercuel. This large building is divided into two parts; on one side, we have the simply structured Gothic church and the convent area, which features a square cloister. It is here that the famous Spanish playwright Tirso de Molina spent time and drew inspiration to write works such as La Dama del Olivar or Los Amantes de Teruel. After the Civil War, the monastery was abandoned and is now run by the Mercedarian Brothers, offering a small paleontological museum, accommodations, and catering services.

Finally, the Sima de San Pedro, a few meters from the Martín River, between the municipalities of Oliete and Ariño, is a spectacular chasm about 100 meters in diameter and 108 meters deep, one of the largest in Europe. It offers tourists, especially ornithologists, a natural spectacle of the 9 bird species that nest in its cavities, as well as over 25 species of vertebrate animals (amphibians, reptiles, small mammals) and 8 different species of bats. At the bottom, there is a 22-meter deep lake.
