Despite being a state-of-the-art facility, MotorLand Aragón's roots lie in the past. The urban circuit of Alcañiz hosted car races from 1963 to 2003. The increase in vehicle power discouraged continued activity, but it led to the development of a sports complex dedicated to motorsport.

With the support of local institutions, the circuit layout was entrusted to the prestigious German engineer Hermann Tilke. The circuit, measuring 5,077 m with 17 turns, has been praised by all riders since its debut in 2010 for the variety of radii in its turns and for being integrated into the terrain, with ups and downs. In fact, the year of its debut, it was awarded by the IRTA as the best Grand Prix of the year, marking the first time a circuit received this award in its first year.

Children under 14 and seniors over 65 have free access to the circuit by presenting an ID/passport/family book.
